The new queen of Holmenkollen

Dorin Habert from France seized victory in Wednesday’s standard event. “These Championships have been really great for me,” the golden girl said

Two Frenchwomen adorned the top of podium after today’s competition, while Laura Dahlmeier from Germany missed only two of 20 shots to secure the bronze. Anais Bescond came in second.

–I’m really pleased to win today, and I’m so happy! This is my second gold in Holmenkollen,” Habert beamed after the race.

Teammate and silver medalist Anais Bescond was also very pleased with her race and applauded her compatriot:
–For the French team this is really special. Marie Dorin is my good friend, so it’s fun to achieve this together today, Bescond stated to Norwegian TV channel NRK after the race.

Norwegian Tiril Eckhoff, who won the women’s sprint competition on Saturday, became undone by two misses at the first bout of shooting.

–It was really disappointing to start with two misses, because I knew I wouldn’t have a chance. On the other hand, I’m really pleased with the final two shooting rounds, Eckhoff said to NRK.
